The QSC SR-1590 is a high-output, coaxial two-way passive surround loudspeaker designed for immersive cinema environments. It features a 15 inch low-frequency driver with a 3 inch voice coil and a coaxially mounted 3 inch high-frequency compression driver, delivering a true point-source radiation pattern with 90 degree conical dispersion. With a peak SPL of 131 dB and 500 watts of continuous power handling, the SR 1590 is ideal for object-based surround formats in large auditoriums.
The enclosure is constructed from 15 mm Baltic birch plywood with internal bracing and a non-reflective black vinyl finish. It includes pre-installed mounting hardware compatible with QM SW and QM BW brackets, and supports overhead or wall-mounted configurations. A 4 ohm impedance allows for greater amplifier efficiency in multi-channel systems, while the compact footprint and coaxial design reduce baffle area and improve phase alignment across the crossover region.
